I was born in Somalia left when I was 2 years old, grew up and went to school in Kenya and moved to MN 2000 until present. My motivation in doing what we do every day is to give the voiceless women a voice. My Motto in life is living a life worth living! No regrets, no apologies just be yourself and live.
Asma Jama, I have a degree in communications from London, U.K. My experience in advocating for domestic abuse victims has been humbling, and it has also taught me to be more empathetic and grateful. What inspires me personally is seeing women who when they first came to us for help had no hope, and after working with them it always warms my heart to see them become strong independent women. I have learned a lot from this women, and honestly, I don't see myself doing anything else.
